July 2004 Inaguaration of a new facility.
A large new 2000 Sq. ft. facility is launched. The new facility has all equipment from large Idli machine to Tandoor oven as well as our own Grain Mill to handle any Indian catering task. We now serve North Indian, South Indian and Bombay style cusine and the capacity to handle over 1000 people. Business expanded to Event management and Party rentals.

Suma foods acquires the facilities and premises from Flavors Indian catering service of North Brunswick.

Keeping up with the goal of becoming the one stop source for all Marathi items Suma Foods becomes an Official Agent for Kalnirnay Calendar.
Sep 2003 Suma Food recognized by leading Marathi Newspapers.
All leading Marathi newspapers like Maharashtra Times, Loksatta, Pudhari and others published a story about Suma Foods in their Ganapati special issue. This was the first combined India-USA issue which was mailed to all BMM members in USA as well.

The one and only stall of its kind providing Assal Marathi taste to BMM attendees including Loksabha Speaker Mr. Manohar Joshi and well known figures like Dr Prakash Aamte. It was one of the most visited stall at BMM.
Jan 2003 Puran Poli and Thalipith Launched at Grocery stores.
The Puran Poli and Thalipith were introduced in the New Jersey Market in the refrigerated section of NJ Indian Stores.

We are proud to provide Diwali Faral to over 1000 people attending Marathi Vishwa Diwali Celebration on Nov 2.
Nov 2002 Maharashtra Foundation Program with Shabana Aazmi.
Suma Foods is proud to provide the snacks to Maharashtra Foundation. The program was attended by over 500 people. Our trademark Marathi coffee with Nutmeg and Elaichee reminded many of shows back home. We also had an important task of keeping more than 100 artists happy and full throughout the day.
Oct 2002 Diwali Faral to Maharashtra Mandal New York.
Maharashtra Mandal NY had Diwali celebration at Jamaica High School. During the interval the Faral provided by Suma foods was a huge hit with the attendees.

The artists and organizers were treated with authentic Puneri Misal and a sumptuous Marathi dinner at the Shraddhanjali program held at the Marathi Vishwa community center on Oct 5.
